Northwest Community Schools Athletics

The Northwest Athletic Department welcomes parent participation and support in a variety of ways.

  • Athletic Boosters – a group of parent and community volunteers who support the Northwest Athletic programs and Northwest student-athletes. Activities include concessions and organization of the annual Cash Bash fundraiser.

R.W. Kidder Middle School

The middle school Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and staff welcome parent participation and support in a variety of ways.

  • Each year the PTO creates a parent volunteer list. The list helps provide chaperones and parent workers for various projects throughout the year.
  • Project captains are parents who volunteer to lead All Skate dates, the 8 th grade party and Scavenger Hunt/Ice Cream Social. They also chaperone dances and Fun Nights, work with Spirit, Unity, Pride, Enthusiasm, Respect (SUPER) Council on fund raisers and Teacher Appreciation Day.
  • Parents are encouraged to be a part of field trips such as the 6 th grade trip to Chicago and the 7 th grade trip to Spring Hill and Full Blast.
  • Other opportunities for involvement such as Cultural Day, robotics teams and more develop throughout the school year.
